Luiza’s Story
Luiza Mihaela Bibire was born two years after the communist regime ended in Romania. She was raised as an only child in a small fishing town called Năvodari, located on the Black Sea Coast of Romania. Along with her parents, Ion and Daniela, made the move to the United States when she was 15 years old, in pursuit of a better quality of life.
While starting from scratch with everything, but having the support of her parents, Luiza later became a first generation university graduate. After working in the US for five years, she made her own independent move to Canada, at 30 years old, while having never visited the country before.
Today, when she is not behind a screen designing and playing video games, you can find her hiking, traveling, or growing her Pokémon and Harry Potter collection.
Grant’s Story
♫ In the GTA born and raised, at a sporting event was where I spent most of my days. Runnin' out, jumpin', pedalin', all out. Shootin' some b-ball outside of the school...
Grant Ivan Nych, taking his names from both his grandfathers, has been an active human for all his life. Having gone through school to get himself into advertising, Grant spent a stint living downtown Toronto to chase that corporate ladder dream. Having met Luiza, and spending time on himself, Grant has come to appreciate life's moments in a different way – wanting to work to live and not vice versa.
He currently spends his time collecting Pokémon cards, playing video games, keeping up on auto news, and enjoying a nice scotch.
Our Story
One, still fairly new to Canada, and one, who moved back home, but both looking for love, are a Covid success story.
Having matched on Hinge in July 2020, both put in the energy and time necessary to grow the relationship. From patio dates, to nature hikes, brewery visits, and movie nights, Luiza and Grant definitely spent a lot of time together, even without the confines of Covid. If anything, it made their time together that much more real, that much more authentic.
With their shared love of traveling, some of their past trips together include Canmore & Banff, Stockholm & Copenhagen, and they have a long list to go through for future trips, including Scotland, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Iceland, Norway, Poland, Croatia, Japan, and many more.
This wedding is a time to celebrate with immediate family and close friends, the couple who continue to strive for the long, healthy and happy life they want to live together. Cheers!
